TANNING MEMBERSHIPS

SUNLESS SPRAY TAN INSTRUCTIONS:

BEFORE

Exfoliate and moisturize the day before your spray tan appointment. Pay special attention to your elbows, knees, ankles and any areas of skin that are prone to dryness.
Avoid using bar soaps, high pH shower products or in shower moisturizers for a full day prior to your appointment.
Wax or shave at least 24 hours prior to your application This will give the pores time to close. Discoloration or dotting of pores may occur if you don't allow enough time between hair removal and spray tan application.

DAY OF

It is best NOT to shower RIGHT before your sunless appointment to ensure proper skin pH. Please allow at least 4 hours between your shower and your appointment. If you must shower- rinse with cold water & skip the soap.
DO NOT apply moisturizer, perfume, deodorant or makeup on the day of application. These products may act as a barrier against your skin and can prevent the DHA from developing evenly.
It is recommended to wear dark, loose-fitting clothing. Bras are not recommended for best results. Tight clothing may cause tan to develop unevenly or leave unintentional marks.
Wear open toed shoes that slide on or are loose fitting.
During your session, you may wear whatever you are most comfortable in. We provide disposable thongs and pasties in our studio. Men MUST wear undergarments during custom sessions.

AFTER

Try not to touch your skin during the development process. This can cause discoloration of your hands and imperfections of the sprayed areas.
For a darker result, wait 8 hours, then rinse lightly in lukewarm or even cool water. For a light to medium tan, rinse after 2 hours. The longer the solution stays on, the darker the results.
Shower with only water the day after your spray tan application. This means, DO NOT use shower gels, soaps, scrubs, shampoos or a loofah during your first shower.
Gently pat dry with a towel. DO NOT rub your skin with anything. This can cause fading and uneven tones.
Use after care products recommended by your tanning consultant. These will include moisturizers and tan extenders to preserve your color. Moisturizing daily will give you longer lasting results and help your color fade evenly.
Avoid sweating and excessive amounts of water exposure including rain. DO NOT exercise or swim for at least 24 hours after your spray tan application. Water can dilute the effects of the tanning solution, causing your results to fade prematurely.
